_danperez_ Listening to ‘All Glory’ feels like an invitation. There is a coziness, a comfort, a feeling that I am in the room, even though these songs were written and recorded years ago. I am listening on my own, at home, and yet I feel connected. The album has a presence, almost a life of its own, once you hit play. The songs are theologically rich and the instrumentation is inviting and intimate. The vocals blend and complement in creative ways throughout. Thank you for adding to the noise. Favorite track: Reconciler.

Dead to life, I live for death A heart of stone in my chest I'm a lonely, open grave Some company is what I crave I am a child of wrath Born to walk this dark path I grew from defiled seed Into a diseased, gnarled tree And I can cut any branch I please But a disguise ain't a remedy When I am rotten to the root Wicked through and through And from these rotten roots Comes forth a bitter fruit I am a self-made creature My word is my scripture
2.
What Have I 03:48
What have I, but a mausoleum mouth And a body of dry bones? Who are you to give me flesh, blood, and breath And to lead me before your throne? You put your blood on my doorpost When I was fast asleep In my slumber before existence It was you, it was you who chose me What have I, but some bitter sour fruit And a manicured facade? Who are you to love me in spite of it? Oh you my sovereign God You put your blood on my doorpost When I was fast asleep In my slumber before existence It was you, it was you who chose me So in what have I to boast? I was but a thought in your mind I could offer no assistance Yet you loved me for all time By no work of mine Yeah, you loved me for all time By no worth of mine
3.
You knew just what you were doing You accomplished what you sought Entered in to time and flesh Oh you my sovereign God With my iniquities laid upon you You took my place on the cross I was given to you for safe keeping And I am not counted lost Wrath was satisfied Hallelujah, wrath was satisfied When I was dead in my trespasses You poured your blood for my ransom And when your dead lungs drew their first breath It was then from the grave I was stolen I was received with grace and peace Sweet reconciliation I was given to you for safe keeping Oh you my propitiation Wrath was satisfied Hallelujah, wrath was satisfied
4.
When you gave me life My lungs took in a breath My heart stirred in my chest When you called me out I cast my shroud aside Stood and left the grave behind By your grace you gave me sight How then could I remain blind? When you gave me life My tongue it did confess My heart of stone turned to flesh When you called me out I cast my shroud aside Stood and left the grave behind By your grace you gave me sight How then could I remain blind? Now that I see your light How is it I ever loved the night? Now I am a child of promise, a vessel of mercy And for your pleasure I am prepared for glory Now that I see your light How is it I ever loved the night? By your grace you gave me sight So how could I remain blind?

I keep my eyes on the horizon Looking out over the deep Water’s churning, swells are crashing Yeah, the tempest has angered the sea But you are, you’re my rescuer Maker of the endless deep You are my anchor in the storm You hold me fast to your shore Oh you have your hand on me I keep my eyes on the passes Winding each scraggly peak Avalanches have eroded this path Yeah, land is sliding out from my feet But you are, you’re my rescuer Maker of mountains so steep You’re the world’s foundation And you will not be shaken Oh you have your hand on me I keep my eyes on the ticking hands Sweeping away all the years With all my dreams and loved ones death has claimed Yeah, they haunt me with fear, pain, and with tears But you are, you’re my rescuer Existing eternally By your blood you conquered the grave By you it’s you that I now crave Oh you had your hand on me And by your sure and steady hands You will persevere Till the mountains fall into the sea At the end of all these things You will still have your hand on me You will always have your hand on me Oh you have your hand on me May you ever be all I see May you be, may you be all I see
6.
Who am I to say to you This vessel is for a different use? You are free to do as you please No, my lungs can’t take a breath Nor my heart beat in my chest Without your hand on me Spit out from the mouth of a whale Drawn from the grave where I lay Salvation is yours alone Only you can break my chains Just is your wrath and vengeance Though you pardoned my sentence And I’m cured of my disease Healed not by might of my own I am made fit before your throne By decree, my sovereign king Spit out from the mouth of a whale Drawn from the grave where I lay Salvation is yours alone Only you can break my chains On the night you come for me Won’t be my blood that you’ll see It’s you covering my post So in what have I to boast? On the night you come for me Won’t be my blood that you’ll see So in what have I to boast But grace and grace alone? Spit out from the mouth of a whale Drawn from the grave where I lay Salvation is yours alone Only you can break my chains Now no longer am I a slave
7.
Be merciful, be merciful to me A crooked tree I can give you nothing but a place to hang a bleed And on this I stand All I have is filthy rags But through the gift of belief Your blood has made me clean Be merciful, be merciful to me I'm buried deep I can give you nothing but some worms looking to eat And on this I stand You have not left me condemned But like the thief by your side I'll join you in paradise Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks So the fruit grows from the root of the tree And any righteousness you see You imputed to me I am justified by no work of mine Like the thief by your side I'll join you in paradise
8.
Reconciler 04:08
Only you can break the chains that make me a slave Only you can drink this wrath in my place Only your body buried can pay my price Only your body raised can give me life From darkness you deliver me You are the image of the unseen From death you have purchased me By hanging on a tree Only you Great I AM can be the cut down lamb Only you can hold justice in your hands Only you can finish what Adam began Only you are the perfect Son of Man From darkness you deliver me You are the image of the unseen From death you have purchased me By dying on a tree Your blood satisfies Only your blood, your blood satisfies Only you Great I AM can be the cut down lamb Only you can bleed mercy from your hands Only your body broken can make amends Only you are both beginning and end Only you are both beginning and end The one who was, will be, and who is
9.
It was you from the start The author of all authors A master of your art Your language runs like water And I wish to stand by your stream And drink deep with my roots Til my leaves are emerald green Branches heavy with sweet fruit Everything hangs on every word you say No other word can hold the weight Your tongue is a sword That defeats my enemies Yet it pierces my soul Severing the rot from me Your word is breath and life And true in everything It is a light for my eyes Sufficient and not lacking Everything hangs on every word you say No other word can hold the weight My tongue is a fire Your word is my water Your revelation is breath to my bones Everything hangs on every word you say No other word can hold the weight
10.
All Glory 04:38
Like the forest And all of the trees Sometimes so hard to see You through all of me My head's on a mountain And my heart's in the sea But in you my love I'll find my peace From and through and to you is everything All glory is yours my sovereign king A bag of bones dreaming Of eternity My mouth full of death For you I'm thirsting A good sweet fruit grows You draw it patiently Wrath once upon me Now graced with mercy From and through and to you is everything All glory is yours my sovereign king (oh you my sovereign king) May you ever be all I see May your glory be ever before me

about

Fepeste's first full-length album, "All Glory", is about a paradigm shift in his faith after a difficult trial forced him to question what he believed about God and himself. During this season he wrote to help him process, to help him worship, to help him surrender. All of the songs for the album were written back in 2014 and, with the help of a good friend, recording began in October that same year in a beautiful house in Denver, which itself became an instrument in the recordings. But with half the album recorded--life happened. A big move to a new city, a new job, a third kid, health complications in the family, and a crippling lack of confidence, saw the instruments packed away and the project relegated to the back of his mind. Almost eight years would pass before he would revisit the songs and finish the album with some encouragement from friends. Now with it complete, he's happy to share these songs with you and hopes that you'll be blessed by them too.
